There we are on friday - busy, busy preparing for the Mama's and Chicks show. Marilyn knocks on the door of the studio around 3:30 in the afternoon. This is of course 1 and a half hours earlier than she would normally come (she has a day job). There she is, standing at my back door shaking uncontrollably. Fever! and a high one. I had her lay down on the couch, and asked my husband to come and pick her up. There was no way she could drive home.
I continue packing up, and prepare to the show alone. I stayed until around 9 or so, starting to feel not so great myself (again - I have young kids, and we've been getting every little bug that has come through the school since September) I get home, and starting to feel even worse. But still determined to plug through. At 5:30 am it's obvious I have the flu too. Sigh - Since both Marilyn and I were both down with the flu, we missed the show.
We're so disappointed that we missed the show - and we now also have 96 baby chick soaps too :-)
If you do want a baby chick, they're $5.00 each plus shipping - we have strawberry, watermelon, creamsicle, and blue raspberry :-)
